ECT2007 is the 5^th European Conference on Thermoelectrics. The Conference takes place in Odessa House of Scientists on Monday September 10 through Wednesday September 12, 2007. The attendees are welcome on Sunday September 9.

The conference highlights fundamentals of thermoelectricity, development of new thermoelectric materials, devices processing and their forefront applications in cooling and electricity generation ranging from macro to nano scale. This year an emphasis will also be on the industrial, manufacturing and marketing aspects of thermoelectricity. All scientists and engineers working in the field of thermoelectricity are invited to attend ECT2007.

SCOPE

The conference will consist of invited and contributed papers during plenary, oral and poster sessions. The topics cover a wide range of scientific research that bridges the gap between basic science and applications of thermoelectricity. Papers will be solicited for the following topics:

• Theoretical concepts in thermoelectricity and basic approaches
• New and improved thermoelectric materials
• Low dimensional thermoelectric structures
• New developments in measurement techniques and preparation methods
• Novel approaches to thermoelectricity
• Applications in thermoelectric refrigeration and electricity generation
• Thermoelectrics commercialization and marketing

• May 1, 2007: Abstract due
• June 1, 2007: Notification of acceptance to authors
• June 15, 2007: Last day for early registration fees
• September 9, 2007: Paper due
